edit: @iwillshoyu What I meant wasn’t something of a future tense but one specific to when I’m shooting. Not sure if it’s because I know that whatever awesome sunset I’ll see, or whatever interesting that…

This park reminds of that classic game Bomberman. The lines, the roads, the little obstacles and people slowly walking by. And then go faster as they pick up skates. Oh wait?!….

The scene at ala mos center before 4th of July fireworks. Kapono played a sweet version of Sailing, a little more slower and drawn out, no harmonica, just his voice and guitar, capoed on a higher fret. Perfect.

Keepin It Real

Interesting day at new job. A meeting took place at “The Clubhouse” to help them figure how and what to fix and renovate given certain time/money parameters. The Clubhouse serves as a training/activity center for those released from an institution. They get around 90 trainees per day, at a facility built in 1950’s, poor pavement and drainage and leaks and somewhat dangerously substandard walkways - people fall down. But they make do. In fact, spirits were high and atmosphere fun and friendly. They even served us some strange bread and kool-aid. I don’t remember the last time I drank that type of kool-aid, but I drank mine up and definitely appreciated it.

This not the first time I tried to shoot this sculpture at UH Manoa. First time I tried to get up close shots which didnt quite work. This time I tried to frame the whole thing but because the metal horns so long, seems like too much background. I realize now I should try zoom all the way out and shoot it. Well we’ll see if it works when I encounter this animal again…
